Biography: Fan Meijun holds a PhD in History. She is a researcher at the CenterforWhitehead Studies, Beijing Normal University–Hong Kong Baptist University United International College, Director of the China Office of the American Process Studies Center, Program Director of the Institute for Postmodern Development of China, Dean of Cobb Ecological Academy, and co-founder of the Global Alliance for Ecological Education.
She also serves as an overseas researcher at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, visiting professor at Guangxi Normal University and Jilin Normal University, and standing director of the International Alliance for Ecological Development.
Her research focuses on traditional Chinese aesthetics, process philosophy, process education, and organic aesthetics. She has published 6 monographs includingContemporary Interpretation of Traditional Chinese Aesthetics, and 7 co-authored works such asThe Second EnlightenmentandCobb and China: An Intuitive View of Cobb's Thought on Postmodern Ecological Civilization.
She has authored more than 100 Chinese and English academic papers in journals includingPhilosophical Researches(China),Philosophy East and West(US),Environmental Ethics(US),Sustainable Development Research(Poland), andBalkan Journal of Philosophy(Bulgaria).
