Biography: Zhang Jun is Deputy Director and a Second-Class Professor at the Department of Literature and History Teaching and Research, Party School of the CPC Central Committee (National Academy of Governance). He serves as a Member of the History Discipline Expert Committee of the National Textbook Committee, and a Distinguished Expert of the Expert Committee for the Study of Party History and Military History of the Central Military Commission.
His main research fields include the Communist Party of China's cultural theories and ideology, covering New Confucianism, Marxist historiography, ethnic theories and policies, party studies, and contemporary cultural development. He is the Chief Expert of the "Research on Xi Jinping Thought on Culture" and "Values and Spiritual Pursuits of Chinese Communists" projects under the Innovation Program of the Party School.
Prof. Zhang has presided over and participated in numerous central government-assigned projects and national social science fund projects, such as "New Confucianism and the Construction of the Communist Party of China's Ideology" and "Research on the Core Values of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics".
He is the author ofCultural Development in the New Era, A Study of the Military Government System in the Han, Wei and Jin Dynasties, A Study of the Crown Prince System in Medieval China, The Intellectual Class During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, Collected Early Writings,andProfessor Zhang Jun's Lecture Notes, among other works. He has published over 100 academic papers in central and provincial-level journals.
Prof. Zhang has received multiple awards for Excellent Teaching and Excellent Scientific Research from the Party School. His course "Values of Chinese Communists" was awarded as one of the Fourth National Top-Quality Courses of the Party School System and honored as an "Outstanding Course for National Cadre Education and Training" by the Organization Department of the Central Committee.
