Biography: Deng Zhuoming once served as Professor and Director of the Organization Department of the Party Committee at Southwest Normal University (now Southwest University), Deputy Secretary of the Education Work Committee of CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, and Secretary of the Party Committee at Chongqing Normal University. He also acted as a member of the Steering Committee for Marxist Theory Programs under the Ministry of Education.
He is currently a Second-Class Professor at Chongqing Normal University, doctoral supervisor at Southwest University, and recipient of the Special Government Allowance of the State Council. He concurrently holds important academic positions including Director of the Academic Committee of the Committee on Ideological and Moral Construction of the China Education Development Strategy Association, Standing Director and Member of the Academic Committee of the Branch of Ideological and Political Education of the China Higher Education Association, and Deputy Director of the Advisory Committee for Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Chongqing Universities.
He has presided over and completed more than 20 national and provincial-ministerial research projects, including programs of the National Social Science Fund, the National Education Science Planning Program, and major key entrusted projects of the Ministry of Education. He has published over 20 monographs and textbooks and more than 70 academic papers.
He has received a number of national and provincial-ministerial awards, including one Second Prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award, two Second Prizes and one Third Prize of the Outstanding Achievement Award in Humanities and Social Sciences of Chinese Universities, as well as multiple social science and teaching achievement awards granted by Chongqing Municipal People's Government.
As Chief Expert, he led the major entrusted project of the Ministry of EducationResearch on the Evaluation System of College Students' Ideological and Political Education, whose findings were fully adopted in theNational Evaluation System for College Students' Ideological and Political Education (for Trial Implementation)issued by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Ministry of Education. Since 2019, he has been invited as an expert of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Ministry of Education to participate in the revision of theRegulations on the Work of Primary-Level Organizations of the Communist Party of China in Ordinary Institutions of Higher Education, which was reviewed and promulgated by the Party Central Committee in April 2021.
