On the afternoon of March 30,2022, the 28th Red Rock Lecture Series was held online by our School successfully.Hou Jinliang, chief editor of Chongqing Daily was invited to give the lecture with the theme‘How to Write an Academic Article Published in the CPC Authorized Newspapers’.The lecture was presided over by Prof.Lv Jin, vice president of our School.
Mr.Hou firstly explained that academic articles published in the CPC authorized newspapers were different from those in journals, by taking his own academic newspaper articles as examples,and emphasized the timeliness of topics and the requirements for normative expression. Then he gave an in-depth and detailed explanation of topic selection and writing skills about the newspaper theoretical articles,recommending strongly that authors should pay attention to the rational, constructive opinions and use the normative, rigorous language in the political discourse. Finally, he suggested that authors should overcome "three obstacles" regarding to politics, profession and writing as long as they contributed an academic article to the CPC authorized newspapers .
After the lecture, the participants put forward their questions actively, and Mr.Hou gave them targeted answers respectively. The fantastic lecture won the unanimous praise from the attendees of our School and inspired them a lot.
