Biography: Chen Peizhao is Executive Deputy Chief Editor ofJournal of Hubei Minzu University (Philosophy and Social Sciences Edition), Professor at the School of Ethnology and Sociology, and PhD in Ethnology. He serves as a review expert for the National Social Science Fund of China, a review expert for master's and doctoral dissertations under the Ministry of Education, and an expert in the Applied Think Tank of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
He engages in teaching and research in Marxist ethnic theories, ethnology, cultural anthropology, ethnic theories and policies, among other fields. He has published more than 40 academic papers in CSSCI source journals and other publications, with many papers reprinted in full inEthnic Issues StudiesandAbstracts of China Social Sciences. He has also authored 3 books and textbooks.
He has received one second prize of the Excellent Social Science Achievement Award from the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, one second prize of the Excellent Achievement Award in Educational Science Research of Hubei Province, and 8 other humanities and social science awards. He has presided over 2 projects of the National Social Science Fund of China, and more than 10 projects including the Humanities and Social Sciences Research Project of the Ministry of Education, the Social Science Fund Project of Hubei Province, and other various projects at all levels.
