Biography: Zhou Pigai holds a doctorate in sociology, a doctorate in political science, and completed postdoctoral research in agriculture and forestry economic management. He is an academic committee member, professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Public Administration, researcher at the Mao Zedong Thought Research Center, and chief expert at the South Asia Research Center of Xiangtan University. He graduated from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences majoring in applied sociology in 2002. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Southern California, the University of Alberta, and the University of Delhi.
He has authored 3 monographs includingMao Zedong's Investigation and Research Methods, published over 80 academic papers in journals such asSociological Research, and written more than 1 million words of policy documents.
His previous administrative positions include Deputy Mayor of Shaoshan Municipal People's Government, Deputy Director of the Policy Research Office of the CPC Xiangtan Municipal Committee, Vice President of the CPC Xiangtan Municipal Party School, and Director of the Teaching and Research Department of Hunan Institute of Socialism.
