Biography: Yan Xiaofeng is a member of the Academic Committee, Dean, Professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Marxism at Tianjin University. He serves as a member of the Advisory Committee of the Marxist Theory Research and Development Project, Chief Expert of the textbookAn Introduction to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Vice Chairman of the National Steering Committee for Ideological and Political Courses in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, and Chairman of the Sub-committee for the CourseAn Introduction to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
He is also Vice President of the China Association of Historical Materialism, President of the Professional Committee on Socialist Modernization Studies, a specially invited researcher of the National Society for the CPC Building Studies, and Chief Expert of major projects of the Marxist Theory Research and Development Project and the National Social Science Fund.
Professor Yan is a recipient of the Special Government Allowance of the State Council. He has received the Outstanding Professional and Technical Talent Award of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and was conferred a Second-Class Merit Citation. He is also an author selected for theLearning Theory Library·Collected Works of Theoristsby the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee.
