Biography: Yang Fubin is a former Dean and Professor of the School of Law and Political Science at Beijing International Studies University, and former Executive Dean of the Honors College at Zhuhai Campus, Beijing Institute of Technology. He is currently a Distinguished Professor at the CenterforWhitehead Studies, Beijing Normal University–Hong Kong Baptist University United International College, and a "Senior Silver-Haired Professor" at the Liberal Arts College of Guangzhou Southern University.
He holds a PhD in Philosophy from Renmin University of China and was a Senior Visiting Scholar at Claremont Graduate University, California, USA. He serves as Standing Director of the Chinese Association of Historical Materialism, Executive Vice Chairman of the Association for Human Development Studies, and Chief Editor of theComplete Works of Whitehead, which is being published by Central Compilation & Translation Press.
His main research areas include Marxist philosophy, modern Western philosophy, and constructive postmodern ecological civilization.
