Biography: Wang Xinyan is a Distinguished Professor of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Philosophy, Wuhan University, and Chief Editor ofJournal of Wuhan University (Philosophy & Social Sciences). He is honored as a Cultural Celebrity and "Four-Batch" Talent by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee.
He concurrently serves as a member of the Philosophy Discipline Appraisal Group under the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, an expert of the National Social Science Fund Discipline Planning Review Panel, a member of the Expert Committee of the National Textbook Committee, Vice President of the Chinese Society of University Journals of Humanities and Social Sciences, and President of the Hubei Philosophical Society.
He has presided over more than 20 research projects at or above the provincial and ministerial level, including major programs of the National Social Science Fund. He has published over 30 books and textbooks worldwide and more than 300 academic papers at home and abroad, and has received over 40 teaching and research awards at or above the provincial and ministerial level.
