Biography: Deng Chundong is a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), member of the CPPCC National Committee's Committee for Social and Legal Affairs, Vice President of the China Association of Policy Science, and former President and Party Secretary of the Institute of Marxism, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is a research fellow, doctoral supervisor, and special research fellow of the National Society for the CPC Building Studies. He also serves as Executive Vice President of the Chinese Association of Scientific Socialism.
His previous positions include Research Fellow at the Research Office of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Theoretical Section at the Party Building Research Institute of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, Director, Deputy Director-General, and Director-General (at department level) at the Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Guilin Municipal Committee, Party Secretary and Executive Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Guilin Municipal People's Congress, and Director and Party Secretary of the Press and Publication Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. He is a recipient of the Special Government Allowance of the State Council.
Prof. Deng has presided over more than 10 major projects of the National Social Science Fund. He has edited over 20 books and authored more than 10 monographs, includingOn Political Mechanisms in the New EraandTheoretical Studies on Exercising Full and Strict Governance Over the Party. He has published over 200 theoretical and academic articles in prominent publications such asPeople's Daily, Guangming Daily, Economic Daily, and major national academic journals.
